we are very impressed with Hugh's story writing and the report of his first experiment. It was very interesting to hear him speak about Nga Mihi. Hugh wants to improve on his letter writing.

Today I went to Amelias learning conference. I had a great time looking at all of her wonderful work.I loved reading her story and will look forward to reading it when it is finished.

Mum loved the science experiment. She thought I was extremely clever and had used the Scamper technique well.

Mum was proud of me remebering my Mihi and the way I was confident in presenting my work.

Things to improve on would be to slow down, take my time at my maths so I don't make silly mistakes.

Overall Mum was very proud of the way I had improved during the year especially with my reading!

Today I went to the student led conference.I was little bit embarrassing and I`ve got a lot of stuff to teach with my parent! First, I shared my mihi, then I showed to my parents what it means and I showed him some maths and my dad teached me some maths.I showed him my twisted fairytale and my writing steps. The writing steps are prewriting,draft writing, responding, revising,editing and publishing.My Mum and dad are proud of my writing because it is interesting.

Well done on the Mihi George. It was a long piece to remember! I especially loved your take on the Cinderella story but I still would have liked the guy to get the girl in the end. I also see that your class desk is as messy as your bedroom at home! Love, Mum.

Matthews exciting information shared with Mum and Dad

Today Matthew shared his Mihi with us, we were very impressed, ka pai Matthew. Matthew also shared with us his great work with his maths. We were extremely impressed with Matthews science experiment and his explanation on how he carried it out. We are looking forward to Matthew helping us do our Mihi.

Going to the army band

On Tuesday, I went to the army band. Na myoung`s mum and Liam`s mum came there too! My buddy was Yoonseok and he is my friend. I learnt lots of dances and they are from Scotland, USA, ITALY, GREECE and lots of other country. Other school came too! We sang a pop song and I know all of them. My favourite pop song was there! It is called WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER and it is really fun song. The man in the Army band showed the movies. It was Tarzan and pirates of the carriben.
We finshed the army band and went to school.

my cool weekend

In the weekend on friday I saw Hugh at the bronies and we stad there intil it was night time and I had to bike in the dark . then on saterday me and my mum and her friend sue went to this markit and I got a cupcake and some home made penatbutter ice cream. then me and my mum had a picnick at the park and we eat the things that we got from the markit. then one sunnday we went skiing

My weekend

Today I went to science alive with Na-myoung. I learned about spiders. I made a web and look out for spiders. I know 3 names of spiders. They are orb spiders, dinopis spiders and ambushing spiders. But I only found orb spiders. I got a stick from the box. The stick vibrates. I learnt that when we hit the stick to the ground to make it vibrates and then I touched the spider gently then the spider came out immediately. He thinks I am dinner.We tried and we tried and we found only 1 spider. But it was fun. Na myoung gave me a bag of doghtnuts and went home.

My dairy

Today whole school and I went to the Rehua Marae. Whole school and I went there because we are learning mihi. The half of the marae was filled with photos. 1 man own this marae. His name is Baley. He taught about his ancestors. There were lots of ancestors. It was really really cool. Before that, we sang a maori song. Then I went to the marae dinner room and I ate some muffins. It was really yummy. Then I went to marae again and say thankyou to Baley then we went to school.

It was fun trip!
