Hi Team 17,

I hope you're all having a fantastic holiday! Happy birthday to Aron and Laura.

I've made a photo album called 'Holidays' in our Team 17 photos. If you'd like to add some photos of your holidays, here's how to do it.

1. Go to our photos (click on Team 17 photos on the right hand side of the blog)
2. Click on the album called Holidays - make sure you sign in as room17@fendalton.school.nz
3. Click the 'upload' button

4. Make sure Holidays is highlighted in blue and click on 'select album'

5. Click on 'choose file' (on some computers it might say 'browse') and find the place on your computer where the photo is. If your photo is on your camera you need to put it on your computer first. Ask mum or dad if you need help.


Then, all you need to do is put it into your blog post (you know how to do that, right?). If you've forgotten, leave a comment and I can write some instructions for you.

Learning about blogging

Today we learnt about a number of important blogging skills:

1. Keeping ourselves safe when using the internet -that we are not allowed to use our last name when doing anything on the internet, including our blog (Will). If you are going on the internet and you don't know what a link or button is for, you shouldn't click it (Charlie). If you get onto something that is not okay, get off it and tell an adult straight away (Tom, Laura, Lauren).
   
2. Making comments on blog posts to give feedback -when you put your name to a comment, only use your first name (Jamie). Sign in first before making a comment (Amelia).
   
3. Using labels -Always use your first name as a label when posting (Will, George). Labels help you to find things later.
   
4. Inserting pictures into our blog posts -we started learning how to do this but will need quite a bit of practise (Rob).
